Passive Decay: Madness increases naturally by 10-20% per in-game day. Players might not realize that the most terrifying events are locked behind high madness thresholds (e.g., above 50%). The Flashlight Trap: While the Flashlight provides essential vision in the dark, it drains the player's sanity. The longer it's used, the faster madness rises, leading to more frequent hallucinations. Dimensions and Nightmares The 5000-Block Void: Players aren't actually in a separate dimension; they are high up in the Overworld. If they fall off the obsidian platform in the Night Dimension, they fall through the clouds back into "reality," creating a seamless nightmare loop. The 3-Day Cycle: The Night Dimension (the platform with the chest) triggers strictly every 3 days, making players dread every third sunset. Entities The Stalker (Pyramid Head): His core mechanic is Punishment for Curiosity. He doesn't attack traditionally; instead, he triggers if a player stares at him. He will instantly teleport directly in front of the player's face with a deafening scream. The Friend: This entity only begins appearing from Day 2 onwards. His events are the most aggressive, often locking the player's camera to force them to look at him or appearing directly above the player. Null (The Dark Silhouette): A rare hallucination (Event #52). He appears in the distance and simply watches, vanishing the moment the player looks away or tries to approach. Hidden Horror Events (from the 99 Events) Manifesting Structures: The mod can suddenly spawn abandoned houses or ancient ruins near the player (Events #53, #56), making them question if the world was always like this. Breaking the Fourth Wall: Several events mimic system errors, fake player-leave messages, and "World Corruption" warnings (Events #14, #25, #43) to make the player believe their game is actually breaking. Reality Warping: The ground can turn into Soul Sand (Event #55) to slow the player down, or all torches within 5 blocks can suddenly vanish (Event #12), plunging the player into total darkness. The Blood Moon: Occurring every 10 days, this event makes the Stalker hyper-active, allowing him to spawn multiple times throughout the night to hunt the player. The Narrative in Notes There are 10 main notes hidden within the flashbacks. They slowly reveal a dark backstory: the player committed a terrible crime against a friend in the past, and these monsters are manifestations of their overwhelming guilt and trauma.

It doesn’t just add monsters; it attacks your sanity, warps your reality, and forces you to face the consequences of a forgotten past. Core Features: Dynamic Madness System: Track your mental state with a custom sanity bar located right above your hotbar. Your madness grows naturally over time (10-20% per day) and accelerates when using certain items or witnessing disturbing events.
