Neutral Monsters: Better Peaceful Mode
With this datapack Monsters will no longer attack the player unless provoked first, similarly to Wolves and Zombified Piglin. This way Minecraft can be played peacefully without missing out on hunger, essential items and combat. This datapack however does not add any hostile mobs to 'peaceful' gamemode, and must be played on easy, medium or hard, to have an effect.
What the Datapack does: Every 'neutral' mob from the list below is friendly towards the player. It only turns hostile after being hurt. There is also a herd aggression behavior in place, inspired by how wolves get angered in packs in vanilla minecraft. When you hurt a 'neutral' mob, every 'neutral' mob close enough to the player turns hostile. Dealing with monsters becomes a little more intimidating this way. After a while the hostile mobs loose interest in the player. The herd aggression can be turned off with a command.
Toggle herd aggression
/function neutral-monsters:herd/on
/function neutral-monsters:herd/off
For a scarier / more exciting experience you can check out my other mod, that builds on this one: Neutral Monsters: Stealthy Peaceful Mode adds more ways for Monsters to turn hostile, so you need to be more careful around monsters. Both mods are based on the discontinued Neutral Hostiles mod by SamDev-7.
Neutral mobs:
The following mobs are affected:
Blaze, Bogged, Breeze, Cave Spider, Creeper, Drowned, Elder Guardian, Endermite, Evoker, Ghast, Guardian, Hoglin, Husk, Magma Cube, Parched, Phantom, Piglin Brute, Pillager, Ravager, Shulker, Silverfish, Skeleton, Slime, Spider, Stray, Vex, Vindicator, Witch, Wither Skeleton, Zoglin, Zombie, Zombie Villager
Still angry:
The Creaking, Ender Dragon, Warden and Wither remain hostile.
Compatibility:
Datapacks and Mods or plugins that use teams will probably not be compatible.
