Features
Five Powerful Tools:
- Area Drill (Pickaxe): Mines a large 3D area of stone and ore in a single, smooth animation.
- Tree Feller (Axe): Fells an entire tree, including leaves, from the bottom up.
- Excavator (Shovel): Instantly digs out large areas of dirt, sand, and gravel.
- Vein Miner: Mines an entire vein of ore with a single block break.
- Liquid Sponge (Bucket): Removes large volumes of water or lava in a 3D area on right-click.
Extremely Configurable:
- Every aspect of every tool—from its material, name, and lore to its enchantments, durability cost, and block filters (blacklist/whitelist)—can be customized in the config.yml.
Performance Tuned:
- Large-scale block breaking is handled by a progressive, animated system that breaks blocks over several ticks, preventing server lag and creating a satisfying visual effect.
Tool Timers:
- Give players tools that expire after a set time (e.g., 1d, 12h, 30m). The remaining time is shown in the item's lore!
Advanced Durability:
- Choose whether tools consume durability per_use or for every per_block broken.
Instant Pickup:
- Give tools the ability to send broken blocks directly to the player's inventory.
Commands
-
/customdrill <tool> [args...] - Creates a custom tool.
-
/customdrill help [tool] - Shows detailed instructions for a specific tool or a general overview.
-
/customdrill reload - Reloads the config.yml file without needing a server restart.
Configuration
- The config.yml is designed to be easy to understand. You can define default values, create block filters, and customize the appearance of every tool.
Transparency
- An AI assistant was utilized during the development process to aid in code debugging and the refinement of user-facing text and documentation.
