Changes
Mobs that shoot, spawn naturally and show boss bars, and rank tags in several places
Custom mobs
- New: a custom mob flashes red for a moment when hurt, like a vanilla mob (a red outline below 1.21.4, or on a model with no animations).
hurt-flash: falseturns it off. - New:
spawning:lets a mob appear on its own, in place of a share of the natural spawns you choose (biomes, worlds, light, day or night, group size, a cap per chunk, and which vanilla mobs it replaces). It replaces rather than adds, so mob caps and peaceful still hold. - New:
boss-bar:shows a boss bar with the mob's name and health to players near it. - Fixed: a custom mob's name never showed (its body is invisible, and the game hides an invisible mob's name). It now floats just above the model, at a
tag_namebone if the model has one: always withname-visible: true, otherwise when you look at the mob, as vanilla does. Renaming it with a name tag or a command updates it, and it goes when the mob dies. - New:
ranged:makes a mob shoot arrows, snowballs, fireballs, wither skulls or tridents. A skeleton keeps its distance and aims as it always does, holding a bow nobody can see; its attack animation plays with each shot. - New:
follow-range:,fire-immune:andglowing:. - Fixed: model parts left standing when a mob is removed without dying (despawned, removed on peaceful, killed off by another plugin) now go at once, not when their chunk next loads.
Rank tags
- New: a tag's
slot:gives it a place of its own, printed by%rpengine_tag_<slot>%(and%rpengine_tag_id_<slot>%), so a player can wear a rank before their name and a badge after it. Tags with no slot share the main one, which%rpengine_tag%has always printed.%rpengine_tags%prints every slot's winner.
Bedrock
- Fixed: a HUD sent to a Bedrock player through Geyser drew as boxes and Chinese characters. A Bedrock player now sees the HUD's words on the action bar, and a plugin's own action bar message is left alone when a HUD has no words.
Emotes
- Fixed: on 26.x the client log filled with "Missing texture references" warnings, one for every part of every emote rig.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
