Changes
Send the pack before join, PackSquash, merge other packs, and Velocity
Sending the pack
- New
send:settings:before-joinsends the pack while the player is still connecting (Paper 1.21.7+), so they arrive with it loaded.on-joinandon-reloadturn the automatic sends off, anddelaywaits a number of ticks after joining. prompt.messagenow takes MiniMessage (colours, hex, bold, gradients, rainbow) and&codes.
Smaller packs
- New
pack.packsquash: put PackSquash inplugins/RPEngine/packsquash/and every pack is squashed before it is sent. Its default settings keep HUD, dialog and 3D armour textures exact, and a pack is only squashed again when it changes.
Other plugins' packs
- New
pack.merge: list other plugins' resource packs (a folder or a zip) and they are built into RP Engine's, so players download one pack. Your own content wins where both ship the same file.
Networks
- New
proxy.enabled, for RPE Proxy, our new Velocity plugin: players are sent the pack once when they join the network, switching servers sends nothing, and the proxy can serve the pack from its own port. See Velocity (RPE Proxy).
0.2.61: Textures with capital letters in their names work
- Fixed item icons drawing as the purple and black missing texture when their file had a capital letter in its name (
Aal.png). Minecraft refuses capital letters in any resource pack path, and the file was copied into the pack as it was. The built pack now lowercases those files and everything that names them, and the console says which files to rename.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
