Wildbound

Deep in the glittering geodes, the old clerics learned a secret: a shard of amethyst carries a resonance the wild cannot ignore.

Hold out a shard and create your bond. It takes a few tries (smoke means not yet -- hearts mean yours).

🌿 Wildbound lets you bind the friendship of eleven of the overworld's souls. Each companion that walks with you - or keeps watch where you bid it stay - lends you a sliver of its gifts.

Bid one sit (an empty hand) and it keeps watch - its gift still flowing.

Send it to wander (sneak, empty hand) and it lives freely around a home it remembers, until you call on it again.

A drink of milk quiets the flow of the gift, for when an effect is in your way.

Every command is answered in kind: a puff of colour and the animal's own voice, so you always know what you asked of it.

💎 The Bound Cluster

When the road grows long — an elytra flight, an ocean crossing — press an amethyst cluster to your companion and it will sleep inside the crystal — name, mood, memories and all — until you set it free against new ground. The cluster shatters on release, the bond does not.

Guard it well. A crystal lost is a friend lost. An ender chest keeps a bound friend safest.
