Combined Resource Loader gives your average Minecraft player full control over specific textures without needing to edit or create a full resource pack.
Instead of enabling an entire resource pack just to change one block, item, entity, GUI icon, or effect texture, CRL lets you pick one exact texture and replace only that texture with another version from an installed resource pack — or with your OWN TEXTURE (that you made in paint or something).
Warrit do?
Minecraft resource packs usually work as a full package. That means if you like one texture from a pack but dislike the rest, you normally have to accept the whole pack or manually edit files. The priority system minecraft uses isn't good enough for that. This mod changes that.
With CRL, you can:
- Browse individual Minecraft textures
- Browse textures added by other mods
- Replace one texture at a time
- Replace MULTIPLE textures at a time (Paint feature although not fully complete).
- Choose replacement textures from installed resource packs
- Drag and drop your own custom texture
- Filter textures by mod
- Filter textures by type, such as blocks, entities, GUI, fonts, effects, and more
- Select a texture in-game by looking at it and pressing the middle mouse button (mostly works)
Main Features
Replace only the textures you want
Change a single texture without applying the entire resource pack.
For example:
- Use one sword texture from one big combat textures pack
- Use one crop texture from another pack
- Keep everything else vanilla
- Replace only one modded block texture
- Swap a GUI icon without changing the full interface
Works with Minecraft and modded textures
The mod can show textures from:
- Vanilla Minecraft
- Installed mods
- Resource packs that support other mods
This is useful when a resource pack includes textures for multiple mods and you only want to use specific parts of it.
Individuals texture browser
The Individuals menu shows single textures one by one. You can search, filter, and choose exactly what you want to replace.
When you select a texture, the mod shows compatible textures from installed resource packs that can replace it.
Drag and drop custom textures
You do not need to know how to make a resource pack. Just drag and drop an image onto the preview area to replace the selected texture. This makes texture customization much easier for your average player. Export your own texture
Filter by mod
This is especially useful when you have many mods installed and only want to see textures on the search results for one of them.
Filter by texture type
- Block
- Entity
- GUI
- Font
- Effect
- Environment
- Colormap
This makes it much easier to find the exact texture you want. Plus the file paths also show up on each texture in the list making it much easier for you to exactly identify the texture to select.
Block selection mode
The Block Selection option lets you select a block directly in-game. Point your crosshair at the texture you want to replace, press the middle mouse button, and the mod will help you find that texture in the menu. It is a lot easier to browse what texture is being used ESPECIALLY with a mod that helps combine multiple different textures from multiple different texturepacks
Customize textures by category
Category selection is now built into the individuals selection browser once paint selection mode is used.
Use cases:
- You use resource packs but dislike some textures
- You want to mix textures from different packs
- You want to customize modded blocks or items
- You do not want to manually edit resource pack files
- You want a simple visual way to replace specific textures
- You want more control than Minecraft’s default resource pack screen provides
Why use this instead of editing a resource pack manually?
Manual texture editing can be confusing for your average player. You need to find the right folder, know the correct file path, understand texture names, and package everything correctly. This mod actually gives you a user friendly GUI. Instead of editing files by hand, you can select the texture, choose a replacement, and apply it directly in-game.
