SpawnersPlus
Pick monster spawners up with a Silk Touch pickaxe and change what they spawn with a spawn egg. The spawner keeps its mob through the whole trip: break it, carry it, place it again, and it still spawns the same thing.
Version 2.1.0 · Paper/Purpur 26.3 · Java 25
Features
- Silk Touch pickup — breaking a spawner with a Silk Touch pickaxe drops a spawner item that remembers its mob. The mob is stored in the item itself, so it survives chests, trades and restarts.
- Placement restores the mob — vanilla refuses to apply spawner data for a normal player, so the plugin writes the stored mob back when the item is placed.
- Spawn egg conversion — right-click a spawner with a spawn egg to convert it. The egg is consumed once, and never in Creative.
- Mob blacklist — mobs listed in
egg-blacklistcan never be put into a spawner. Blocked attempts consume nothing. - Two languages included — English and Portuguese, and you can drop your own file into
lang/. - Protection-aware — the plugin runs after land-claim and region plugins have had their say. A break or an interaction they veto is never turned into a spawner item or a spawner change.
- Trial spawners untouched — trial and ominous trial spawners are a different block and are left entirely to vanilla.

Configuration
# Which language file to load from /lang/.
locale: "en-US"
# true -> a Silk Touch pickaxe is needed to pick a spawner up
# false -> any pickaxe is enough (not recommended)
require-silktouch: true
# true -> players in Creative also get a spawner item when they break one.
# Keep this false: in Creative the block costs nothing, so the pickup would
# let a player produce spawner items without limit.
allow-creative-pickup: false
# Mobs that can never be put into a spawner with an egg.
egg-blacklist:
- "ENDER_DRAGON"
Messages

spawner-changed: "&aSpawner changed to &f%mob%&a!"
egg-blacklisted: "&cYou cannot change a spawner to a &f%mob%&c."
egg-error: "&cThat egg cannot be used in a spawner."
no-permission: "&cYou are not allowed to change spawners."
spawner-item-name: "&dSpawner: &f%mob%"
spawner-item-lore: "&7Type: &f%mob%"

Installation
- Paper or Purpur 26.3, Java 25 (2.0.0 runs on 26.2).
- Drop
spawnersplus.jarintoplugins/and start the server. config.ymland the two language files are created on first start.
No dependencies.
Upgrading from 1.0
Drop-in. config.yml gains one key, allow-creative-pickup, which defaults to false; the
language files gain no-permission, spawner-item-name and spawner-item-lore. Existing files
are not overwritten, and any key you are missing falls back to the bundled English default.
One behaviour change worth knowing: 1.0 accepted any Silk Touch tool, so a Silk Touch shovel or
pair of shears could pick a spawner up. 2.0.0 requires a pickaxe, which is what config.yml
always described.
