OmniCrossbow adds two potent crossbow enchantments to the game.
Omni
Omni lets you load any item into your crossbow by holding it in your offhand. The projectile you shoot varies based on the item.
There are so many unique item behaviors with more to come in future updates! Slime and honey offer new movement tech, many items are high explosives or beam attacks, blocks get placed and tools mine blocks, and much more! In particular, a certain few "high-powered" crafting ingredients have special uses you'll have to find for yourself.
Full* list of effects
- Thrown items like snowballs, eggs, ender pearls, etc. fly further than by hand
- Spawn eggs, entity buckets, and other entity-creating items (armor stand, boat, minecart, etc.) launch that entity
- Snowballs freeze mobs for a few seconds like powder snow
- TNT launches a TNT
- Falling blocks like sand and anvil launch as falling blocks
- Wither skeleton skulls shoot wither skulls
- Dragon's breath shoots dragon fireballs
- Slimeballs shoot a new slimeball projectile which bounces off of surfaces and knocks back hit entities very far
- Honey bottles create a honey slick that you can slide down walls on and prevent fall damage
- Blocks place themselves
- Dyes can dye blocks if the crafting recipe exists (paintball!)
- Blaze rods create a fire laser that instantly burns through flammable blocks
- Blaze powder creates a spray of fire projectiles
- Potion ingredients apply the effect to hit mobs (e.g. sugar -> swiftness)
- Glowstone dust, glow ink sacs, and glow berries give mobs glowing
- Eyes of ender temporarily let you see from the eye's POV
- Firework stars explode
- Amethyst shards deal 8 damage and shatter on impact
- Tools mine the appropriate blocks
- Weapons deal the appropriate damage
- Lightning rods strike lightning if it's thundering
- Chorus fruit teleports mobs randomly
- Gunpowder creates a small explosion
- Regular potions apply the effect directly
- Equipment (armor) will equip or replace existing equipment
- Bells and note blocks play sound on impact
- If a modded entity exists with the same id, that will be used
- Items not otherwise handled attempt to simulate a right-click, e.g. waxing copper
*some spoiler items not listed
Omni is a treasure enchantment and currently can be obtained from villagers and loot, although this may change in the future.
Multichambered
Multichambered lets you load multiple shots and fire them one by one, like a revolver. Crouch and use a crossbow to load additional shots when loaded, and use normally to fire. You can load different types of ammo, and the first item you load will be the first item you shoot (so in terms of data structures it's a queue not a stack).
Level | Capacity |
---|---|
1 | 2 |
2 | 4 |
3 | 6 |
Multichambered has a max level of 3 (III) and is incompatible with Multishot and Quick Charge.
Credits
Certain features in this mod were inspired by Enchancement, Content SMP, and Ultrakill.
Spoiler
One sound effect from Undertale
Compat
If Enchancement is installed, Multichambered will be removed and Omni will also act as Multichambered III. On 1.21.1, Enchancment's Scatter will also have Multichambered III.
