Completely silences copper golems and copper chests in Minecraft: Java Edition 26.3.
Copper golems are great, but a farm full of them clanking around while chests open and close nonstop can wear on you fast. This tiny resource pack switches that noise off and leaves the rest of the game's audio alone.
What gets silenced
Copper chests
- Opening and closing, at every oxidation stage (waxed chests included)
Copper golems
- Footsteps
- Head spins
- Putting items into chests and taking them out, plus the "nothing to do" sounds
- All of the above at every oxidation stage
What stays audible
Golem hurt, death, spawn, shearing and turning into a statue are untouched, so you'll still know when a golem is in trouble.
Good to know
- Version: made for Java Edition 26.3 (resource pack format 97). It isn't intended for older versions.
- Client-side only: it changes what you hear and nothing else. There is no gameplay effect.
- Subtitles: silenced sounds don't show up in subtitles.
- Log file: you may see harmless "empty soundEvent" lines in
latest.log. That's expected. - Other packs: if another pack also changes these sounds, put this one above it in the list.
Want some sounds back?
use the other version uploaded that keeps golem sounds but makes them less loud
Installation
- Download the
.zipfile. Don't unzip it. - In Minecraft, go to Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder and drop the zip in.
- Move the pack to the right-hand (active) list.
Credits
Inspired by Quiet Copper Golems and Chests by Sol, which turns the volume down instead of off. This is an independent pack and contains no files from that one. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
