⚔️ Epic RPG: Boss battle mode

Since version 1.1.0, the mod must also be installed on the client.

Boss battle mode introduces a new mechanic to boss encounters: bosses recover a percentage of their health whenever one or all players are eliminated during combat.

Core Mechanics

• 📋 The mod creates a list of players who deal damage to the boss.
• ⚔️ Registered players become part of the participant list.
• 💀 If any participant dies during combat, the boss health recovery mechanic is activated.
• 🔄 Players who die are removed from the list; to rejoin, they must deal damage to the boss again.
• 📏 Participants must remain within a certain distance of the boss (default: 64 blocks). Exceeding this distance removes them from the list.

With these simple rules, boss encounters change dramatically: participant deaths allow the boss to recover health, making fights more punishing and tactical.

Game Modes

🎮 RPG Mode

Each death of an active participant restores 10% of the boss’s maximum health. This applies even if the dead player was the last participant. The most forgiving mode for solo players and small groups.

🌐 MMORPG Mode

Each death of an active participant restores 10% of the boss’s maximum health. If the dead player was the last active participant, the boss restores 100% of its maximum health. Encounters continue as long as at least one participant remains alive. If the entire group is defeated, the fight resets completely.

💀 DarkSouls Mode

Each death of an active participant restores 100% of the boss’s maximum health, regardless of whether other participants remain alive. The most unforgiving mode, designed for hardcore players.
