Geasd — Full Description & Usage Terms Overview Geasd is a Minecraft mod (mod ID: geasd) for Minecraft 26.1.2 on Fabric Loader 0.19.2. It adds a simple early-game loop: harvest wheat seeds from vanilla grass and fern plants using your empty hand or shears.

The mod does not add new seed types. All drops are vanilla Wheat Seeds.

Supported Plants Geasd only affects these four vanilla blocks:

Plant Minecraft block Short Grass minecraft:short_grass Tall Grass minecraft:tall_grass Fern minecraft:fern Tall Fern minecraft:large_fern Tall plants (Tall Grass, Tall Fern) are handled as a pair of blocks. Interacting with either the top or bottom half applies to the whole plant.

No other blocks (flowers, crops, vines, etc.) are affected.

How Harvesting Works

1. Empty hand — right-click Requirement: Main or off-hand must be empty (no item held). Effect: The plant is fully removed and does not regrow. Seed drop: Rolled once per harvest 85% chance → 1 wheat seed 15% chance → 2 wheat seeds Stubble: None. The block becomes air (or whatever was underneath). Durability: Nothing is consumed.
2. Shears — right-click (sustainable harvest) Requirement: Shears in the hand used to click. Effect: The plant is replaced with a tiny Plant Stubble block that regrows into the original plant later. Seed drop: Rolled once per harvest 10% chance → 1 wheat seed 90% chance → 2 wheat seeds Shears durability: 1 point of damage per harvest. Regrowth time: 6,000 ticks (~5 minutes at 20 TPS). Sounds & feedback: Block break particles/sound from the original plant, plus the shears snip sound and arm swing animation.
3. Shears — left-click (permanent break) Requirement: Break the plant normally while holding shears (mining/left-click). Effect: Vanilla block break — plant is permanently removed, no stubble, no regrowth. Seed drop: Same odds as shears right-click 10% → 1 seed 90% → 2 seeds Shears durability: Normal vanilla break durability rules apply to the break action itself (in addition to any other interactions).
4. Breaking stubble If a Plant Stubble block already exists (from a prior shears harvest):

Right-click (empty hand or shears) removes the stubble permanently. No seeds are dropped from breaking stubble alone. Stubble does not regrow further once broken. Plant Stubble (Regrowing Block) When shears right-click converts a plant to stubble, Geasd places a custom block: Plant Stubble (geasd:plant_stubble).

Appearance Each stubble matches the plant it came from:

Regrowth After 6,000 ticks, the stubble automatically restores:

Short Grass → Short Grass Fern → Fern Tall Grass → full Tall Grass (both halves) Tall Fern → full Tall Fern (both halves) Seed Drops Seeds are spawned as world items on the ground via Block.popResource. They are not placed directly into your inventory. Drop location is the root block of the plant (bottom half for tall plants). Each harvest rolls seed count once — you get either 1 or 2 seeds, never 0 and never more than 2 from a single action. What Geasd Does Not Do Does not change wheat farming, loot tables, or mob drops. Does not add new tools, items (beyond the internal stubble block), or crafting recipes for players. Does not affect grass/fern when broken by anything other than the interactions above (e.g. breaking with a sword still uses vanilla behavior unless shears left-click rules apply). Does not work on blocks other than the four listed plants (and their stubble). Requires Fabric API in addition to Fabric Loader. Usage, Copyright & Name Protection Ownership Geasd, including the name “Geasd”, the mod identifier geasd, associated logos, descriptions, source code, models, textures, and compiled JAR files, is All Rights Reserved unless the author explicitly grants permission in writing.

“Geasd” is the official name of this mod. It is not a generic term and must not be used to refer to unrelated projects without permission.

What You MAY Do (Personal Use) With a legitimately obtained copy of Geasd, you may:

Install and play the mod in your own Minecraft worlds. Include it in a private modpack for personal or friends-only use, with credit to Geasd. Stream, record, or share gameplay that shows Geasd, as long as you credit the mod by name and link to the official download when possible. Report bugs or suggest features to the author. What You MAY NOT Do (Without Written Permission) You may not:

Reupload the mod JAR or any part of its files to other sites, file hosts, or launchers as if it were your own work. Rename, rebrand, or repackage the mod while keeping its functionality and presenting it under a different name. Use the name “Geasd” (or confusingly similar names like “Gaezd”, “Geasd Remake”, “Geasd Plus”) for: Your own mods or modpacks presented as official Geasd products Forks or derivatives distributed publicly without clear distinction and permission Unrelated Minecraft content, servers, channels, or merchandise Claim ownership of Geasd, its code, assets, or the “Geasd” name. Sell the mod or charge for access to Geasd itself (donations for support are different from selling the mod files). Reverse-engineer solely to clone and republish under another name without authorization. Remove or alter license notices, credits, or mod metadata (geasd mod ID, name field). Modpacks & Distribution If you want to publicly distribute a modpack containing Geasd:

Credit Geasd by name in the modpack description and mod list. Link to the official download — do not hotlink or mirror the JAR unless the author allows it. Do not imply endorsement — your modpack is not an official Geasd product unless stated by the author. Do not rename Geasd inside the pack or merge it into another mod without permission. Derivative Works & Forks Creating a fork or derivative based on Geasd source code:

Requires explicit permission from the rights holder (All Rights Reserved). Must not use the name Geasd or geasd mod ID for the derivative. Must be clearly labeled as unofficial and separate from Geasd. Must comply with any additional terms the author sets. Unauthorized forks that copy Geasd’s code or behavior and use the Geasd name constitute misrepresentation and likely copyright/trademark infringement.
