Capez
Capez is a client-side Minecraft mod for quickly changing your skin and cape. It supports skins from URLs, Mojang usernames, and local files, plus built-in vanilla and custom cape collections.
Selections are stored locally for each account UUID and restored when the game starts. Local skin files are copied into the Capez configuration folder, so they keep working if the original file is moved or deleted. Slim and wide skin models are detected automatically.
Customizations currently appear only on your client. Other players will not automatically see them.
Commands
- /skin url <URL>
- /skin mojang <username>
- /skin file
- /skin reset
- /cape vanilla <file>
- /cape custom <file>
- /cape reset
Use Tab while entering a cape command to view the available files.
Planned features
- A skin and cape library where players can save complete customization profiles and switch between them quickly.
- Optional Mojang account integration to update the player's official skin directly through Mojang services.
- Support for selecting official capes owned by the player's Mojang account, whenever the account and Mojang services allow it.
Requirements
Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and Java 25.
