Friend With All Mobs

Become friends with every mob in Minecraft. Not just wolves and cats — every single one, from the chicken in your yard to the Warden in the deep dark.

How it works

Drop the item a mob likes at its feet. It walks over, picks it up, and its friendship grows. Villagers love emeralds, wolves love bones, creepers love gunpowder, endermen love ender pearls. Any mob not on the list — including mobs from other mods — accepts gold ingots.

Five ranks, each unlocking more:

The Friends Notebook. Right-click in the air for a list of every friend around you. Toggle following per mob, set what each one attacks — nothing, hostiles only, your current target, everything, or a custom list you pick from every mob type in the game.

Squads. Sneak + right-click with the notebook. Enlisted friends stick close, teleport to you when you outrun them, follow you through portals into other dimensions, and strike whatever you strike.

Favours. Right-click a best friend with the notebook. A librarian will hand you any enchanted book in the game. Other villagers give you anything their profession can trade, at any tier. Other mobs give you what they drop.

Equipment. A second notebook lets you hand friends swords, armour, shields and bows. They really use them — weapon damage applies, armour protects, and they drop everything back when they die. Give one a totem of undying and it revives exactly like a player.

Peaceful mobs can fight. Cows and villagers have no attack AI at all, so the mod gives them one. Arm a villager and it will genuinely defend you.

Ride the ender dragon. Feed it end crystals, climb on its back, and fly wherever you like. Look where you want to go, hold forward to accelerate, left click to breathe fire. It won't carve tunnels through your world while you ride.

Command the wither. Befriend a wither and it becomes your voice over every wither skeleton nearby — rally them, send them at a target, have them hold ground or escort the wither. They obey without ever becoming your friends.

Villagers build for you. Craft a building plan, mark the ground, and ask a friendly villager to build. Four built-in plans — small house, two-storey house, farm, village well — and the house rises layer by layer while he works. You supply the materials.

Your own builds. Drop any vanilla structure block .nbt file into config/amismobs/plans/ and it appears in the build menu, with materials calculated automatically from your own blocks.

Getting started

You receive three books the first time you join a world: a manual explaining everything, the equipment notebook, and the friends notebook. Both notebooks are also craftable.

Notes

Careful: hitting a friend costs 15 points, and below Friend rank they turn hostile again. And don't stare an enderman in the eyes — it doesn't like it, even when it likes you.
