Molten Veins

Sick of running back to a furnace every five minutes? Molten Veins auto-smelts iron, gold, copper, and ancient debris the moment you mine it, so ingots just show up in your inventory.

It also handles vein mining. Hold the key, break one ore block, and the whole connected vein comes down with it. Up to 256 blocks in one go, smelted on the spot where it applies.

Features

  • Auto-smelt: iron, gold, copper, ancient debris, and clay turn into their finished form as soon as you mine them
  • Five mining modes: Vein, Excavate, Tunnel, 3x3, and Layer, switchable on the fly with a keybind, scroll wheel, or the settings menu
  • Vein mining: one block breaks the whole vein, and it's not limited to ores; hay bales, clay, and obsidian work too
  • Silk Touch: respected as normal, so silk touch drops the raw block instead of auto-smelting it
  • Fortune: auto-smelt still factors in fortune for extra drops
  • XP bonus: a random 1-4x multiplier so you're not losing out on the XP a furnace would've given you
  • Magnet mode: drops go straight to your inventory instead of the ground
  • Custom settings screen: press Z for a hand-built config UI with toggle switches, item icons, and an orange theme
  • Per-block toggles: turn auto-smelt or vein mining on or off block by block
  • Rebindable keys: change any hotkey from Minecraft's normal controls menu
  • Modded ores: supported

Mining Modes

Mode What it does
Vein Flood-fills connected ore of the same type, classic vein mining
Excavate Clears connected blocks of the same type, good for stone and dirt
Tunnel Digs forward in whatever direction you're facing, length adjustable, with an optional 3x3
3x3 Breaks the 3x3 area around whatever you mine
Layer Breaks a flat layer around the block, adjustable up to chunk size

Switch modes with the Cycle Mode key (V by default), by holding Vein Mine and scrolling, or by picking one directly in the settings menu. Tunnel length and layer size are both configurable in the GUI.

Supported Blocks

Coal, Diamond, Iron, Gold, Copper, Emerald, Lapis, Redstone, Quartz, Ancient Debris, Nether Gold Ore, Hay Bale, Clay, Obsidian, and all their deepslate variants.
