Zombie Extinction
Zombie Extinction is a survival horror zombie mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.
The mod adds four unique infected creatures, each designed to create a different threat during survival.
Instead of simply adding zombies with more health and damage, Zombie Extinction focuses on giving each infected its own behavior, abilities, strengths, and role in the world.
Some infected specialize in direct combat, others track or stalk the player, while more dangerous creatures can threaten fortified bases or ambush players while exploring.
Features
- Four unique infected creatures.
- Custom models and GeckoLib animations.
- Different AI and behavior for each infected.

- Progressive late-game threats.

- Designed for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1.
Infected Variants
Devastator

The Devastator is a heavily mutated infected with an oversized and deformed arm.
It is designed to be an extremely dangerous close-range opponent. Its attacks deal high damage, making careless melee combat especially dangerous.
The Devastator is slow compared to other infected, but players who allow it to get close can be punished very quickly.
Resonant

The Resonant is a blind and deaf infected creature.
It does not hunt like a normal Minecraft mob. Instead, its behavior is based around detecting and tracking living targets through scent.
This makes encounters with the Resonant more focused on tension and stalking rather than simple direct pursuit.
Even when the player believes they have escaped, the Resonant may continue searching for them.
Wallbreaker

The Wallbreaker is a massive late-game infected designed to threaten player-built defenses.
By default, it begins appearing from day 50 onward. This value can be changed through the mod configuration.
When a player attempts to hide behind walls or structures, the Wallbreaker can destroy blocks in its path to reach them.
It also has a powerful ground attack capable of creating a shockwave in front of it. The shockwave can damage and knock players back and can destroy blocks near the creature.
Players can avoid the shockwave by jumping at the correct moment.
The Wallbreaker has a very large amount of health and moves relatively slowly, but its purpose is to make fortified bases less completely safe as the world progresses.
VelociraptorZ

The VelociraptorZ is a fast and unpredictable infected predator focused on stalking, ambushes, and horror.
Unlike most hostile creatures, it does not always immediately rush toward the player.
It can slowly approach and observe its target before beginning a full chase. Once aggressive, it becomes extremely fast.
VelociraptorZ can perform a powerful long-distance leap toward its target, allowing it to attack players who attempt to escape by climbing onto elevated structures.
Its leap can deal damage and knock the player away.
When attacked, VelociraptorZ may also release an infectious burst capable of poisoning nearby players.
Killing one for the first time does not necessarily mean the encounter is over. VelociraptorZ has two lives: after its first death it collapses, remains motionless for a period of time, and later rises again. It must be killed a second time to permanently defeat it.
During the day, VelociraptorZ can sleep on the surface. Approaching too closely or attacking it will wake it.
At night, it becomes naturally active and hunts normally.
VelociraptorZ can naturally appear across the surface of the Overworld but will not naturally spawn inside caves.
Players may also rarely encounter a disturbing appearance of a VelociraptorZ watching them from behind a nearby tree. These encounters do not always represent a real attacking creature.

Why Download Zombie Extinction?
Zombie Extinction is designed for players who want zombies and infected creatures to feel dangerous and unpredictable again.
Each infected has a specific gameplay purpose:
- The Devastator punishes careless close-range combat.
- The Resonant creates tension through tracking and stalking.
- The Wallbreaker threatens fortified bases and creates late-game pressure.
- The VelociraptorZ makes exploration dangerous through stalking, ambushes, powerful leaps, and unpredictable behavior.
The goal is not simply to make enemies stronger.
The goal is to make the player change how they survive.
Exploration becomes more dangerous, hiding behind walls is no longer always enough, and different infected require different strategies to survive.
