Sandstorm SMP
200 years ago stood the republic of imperia, built from the ashes of the Kingdom of Imperia after a brutal rebellion against the immortal rulers who abused the power of the Phoenix to rule. Under the presidency of Solev the republic turned to a dictatorship of harsh control wherein the population was divided between three regions to collect resources for a mysterious project, The Phoenix Machine, a device capable to reviving life to those who have died. Solev built this machine in an attempt to recover the life of his lost daughter however, was unable to achieve this dream before his subjects revolted, destroying the capital and ruining plans to save his daughter.
Over 100 years after the fall of Imperia a brutal sandstorm took over the lands of the Imperian continent which blew for years on end before finally quieting down with the appearance of the Pylon a mysterious device that succeeds the goals of the now long dead president Solev. People from across the planet are being revived and brought to the Pylon's base once again now 200 years from when the original Pheonix Machine was first built. What will happen to those who are brought from times and places unknown and who will find a new place to live in this new strange world?
The sandstorm SMP modpack is a tech light roleplay based pack designed for an AU stemming from the end of the Ish 2.7 Roleplay event. Mods aims add a vanilla-plus-plus-plus sort of experience, with plenty of new decorative mods, combat changes, and ways to pass time with friends in a more vibrant version of Minecraft. The pack is designed for play on a server and some elements will not achieve the same effect without one.
Origins:
Sandstorm is built with a suite of custom designed origins as well as some select origins from RPG Origins as well as powers from the Origins classes addon implemented into some lower impact origins. Some origins require administration powers to be assigned such as Vampires, Beastfolk, and Pirates, aswell as all custom bloods that can be used by the vampires. A selection of the origins available include:
The Beastfolk;
Beastfolk are descended from ancient tribes of unknown true origin. They resemble animals in varying levels of Humanoid and are granted a powerful enhanced Form they can activate by shapeshifting. Whilst in this Form, they gain immense strength, speed, and agility but maintaining said Form is taxing.
The Gourmand;
Farm-to-table. You have skills in cooking and farming alike. Enhance the food you have created with buffs and get more crops from those you harvest.
Merchant;
Expert traders, get special trades from wandering traders as well as never run out of trades from villagers
Courier;
The Pony Express is back, and they're cornering the delivery market. Move faster and store your packages in your parcel bag!
Vampires;
The souls of such damned creatures ought to have drowned in the Black Lake, but this one swam to shore. available in a lesser and greater variant, drain blood from players and mobs. Stand on the roof to aura farm as you give your evil monologues!
Custom bloods;
In a separate origin layer players can chose to have different bloods the enhance roleplay with vampires
Combat:
Better combat and Simply swords have been added to enhance the vanilla combat experience, for a more grounded experience we recommend your server disable the mythic weapons.
Food, music, and dancing:
With the addition of Rustic delight, and a suite of [Let's Do] Mods players are able to build a swath of restaurants with a variety of foods on offer as well as provide their customers with plenty of wine and beer to keep the party going all night long! And what's a party without a song or two? with Immersive Melodies you can really raise the roof and get everyone dancing with Emotecraft, allowing players to pick whatever and download whatever emotes they like to really get down on the dance floor.
