Server Essentials Forge

SEF is a server focused essentials and administration mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge 21.1.235. It combines chat, moderation, player utilities, teleportation, economy, inventory tools, automation, recovery, and optional enhanced client presentation in one permission controlled mod.

Features

  • Chat formatting, private messages, replies, admin chat, help requests, announcements, filters, tab list formatting, and connection messages.
  • Moderation tools including vanish, freeze, mute, warnings, jail, inventory locks, building restrictions, banned item policies, alt detection, command observation, and protected audit logs.
  • Homes, spawn, back, teleport requests, player warps, random teleport, safe destination checks, quotas, cooldowns, and persistent location history.
  • Inventory inspection, virtual workstations, kits, feed, item and effect utilities, unrestricted reviewed enchanting, and server side transaction validation.
  • Economy balances, exact money arithmetic, economy signs, ranking, escrow, parcels, trades, auctions, and recovery workflows.
  • Permission derived cooldowns, finite permission tiers, hierarchy checks, confirmations, costs, audit events, and command fallback for every server authoritative action.

Installation

  1. Install NeoForge 21.1.235 for Minecraft 1.21.1 on the server.
  2. Put the SEF JAR in the server mods directory.
  3. Start the server and review the generated config/sef files.
  4. Review permissions before granting staff access.

SEF is server authoritative. Vanilla clients and clients without SEF can connect and use command fallback. Compatible clients may install the same universal JAR for optional enhanced presentation. LuckPerms, FTB Essentials, and Curios are optional integrations.

Configuration and migration

Configuration is modular under config/sef/modules. Existing installations should back up the world, config/sef, and world SEF storage before migration. Run /sef config migrate dryrun first, resolve every validation result, and follow the migration guide before applying changes.

SEF is distributed under All Rights Reserved. Do not redistribute private server data, credentials, logs, or imported artwork through the mod or its storage paths.
