Item Cooldown Limiter is a client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11, created by 3T37, that lets you assign a personal cooldown (in seconds) to any item in the game — including items that have no cooldown at all by default. Cooldowns are configured through a clean settings screen built on Cloth Config, opened with a dedicated keybind (] by default), where you simply type entries like minecraft:wind_charge=3. Once an item is configured, the first right-click goes through normally and immediately starts your custom timer. Every click after that, for the duration you set, is blocked entirely on the client side — the usage packet is never even sent to the server, so the server and other players never see the extra clicks. The item's hotbar icon darkens and gradually fades back in over the cooldown period, using the same smooth vanilla shading animation you'd see on potions or ender pearls. The mod also runs an internal timer independent of the game's built-in cooldown system, so it keeps enforcing your chosen duration even if the server or the item itself tries to reset or shorten it early.
