š¼ļø ImageMOTD ā Custom Player Head MOTDs
Revolutionary. Most servers still use boring text or gradient MOTDs. ImageMOTD lets you display actual images in your server MOTD using player heads. This type of MOTD is almost never used ā be one of the first to stand out.
No hex editing. No complicated tools. Just upload an image and go.
⨠Features
- Drag & Drop ā Drop an image, get a MOTD. Simple as that.
- Live Preview ā See your MOTD before it goes live.
- Multi-language ā DE / EN toggle built in.
- Reload Command ā
/imagemotd reloadā no server restart needed.
š¦ How it works
- Upload your image (264Ć16) to the web generator
- Enter your free Mineskin API key (get one at mineskin.org)
- Click generate ā the tool uploads textures to Mineskin automatically
- Download the resulting
.txtfile - Place it in
plugins/ImageMOTD/images/on your server - Set the filename in
plugins/ImageMOTD/config.yml:image-motd: image: your-file.txt - Run
/imagemotd reloadā done!
ā ļø Important: The filename in
config.ymlmust exactly match the.txtfile in theimages/folder ā otherwise the plugin won't find it.
š§ Tips for best results
- Pixel art works best ā avoid text and fine details, pixels may shift
- Use high-contrast colors for better visibility
- The MOTD supports up to 66 player heads (2 rows of 33)
š§ Requirements
- Minecraft Paper 1.21.11+
- Java 21
- Mineskin API Key (free)
