🏮 Beltborne Lanterns - MC 26.x Port

Free your hands, light your path!

This is a port of Beltborne Lanterns by 0xCoDSnet, updated to work with Minecraft 26.x (26.1 - 26.2).

✨ Features

  • 🎒 Belt-mounted lanterns - Press B while holding any lantern to attach it to your belt
  • 💡 Dynamic lighting - Lanterns emit light while on your belt (requires LambDynamicLights)
  • 🎮 Realistic physics - Lanterns swing and sway as you move, jump, and fight
  • 🎨 Full customization - Adjust position, rotation, and scale via ModMenu
  • 🔧 Multi-lantern support - Works with vanilla lanterns, soul lanterns, and all copper variants
  • 🌐 Multiplayer ready - See other players' belt lanterns in multiplayer

🎮 How to Use

  1. Hold any lantern item in your hand
  2. Press B (default keybind)
  3. The lantern attaches to your belt and lights up your surroundings
  4. Press B again to remove it back to your inventory

Toggle returns lantern to an empty inventory slot - no more accidentally replacing items!

⚙️ Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.x (26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, or 26.2)
  • Fabric Loader

  • Cloth Config
  • ModMenu (optional, for in-game config)
  • LambDynamicLights (optional, for glowing effect)

🔧 Configuration

Open ModMenu → Beltborne Lanterns to adjust:

  • Lantern position (X, Y, Z offsets)
  • Pivot point for physics
  • Rotation angles
  • Scale/size
  • Debug visualization

  • ✅ Updated rendering to MC 26.x API (Vulkan backend support)
  • ✅ Fixed UV mapping for proper lantern textures
  • ✅ Improved inventory handling (returns to empty slot instead of replacing)
  • ✅ Updated default position values for better placement
  • ✅ Support for all MC 26.x versions in single JAR
