Locators
Locators adds configurable player-tracking items to your server. Right-clicking a locator displays the approximate distance and direction to matching online players.
All locator types are configured through JSON. You can create inaccurate long-range compasses, precise tracking devices, team-specific locators, and more.
Features
- Turn any Minecraft item into a locator.
- Create an unlimited number of locator types.
- Assign a unique ID to every locator type.
- Configure the maximum detection range.
- Enable or disable distance, yaw, and pitch output separately.
- Configure independent random errors for every measurement.
- Click yaw or pitch values in chat to automatically turn the camera.
- Results are visible only to the player using the locator.
- Filter targets by scoreboard tags.
- Filter targets by primary and inherited LuckPerms groups.
- Automatically fall back to scoreboard tags when LuckPerms is unavailable.
- Configure separate permissions for using and giving each locator.
- Preserve cooldowns across server restarts.
- Use shared per-player cooldowns or individual cooldowns for each physical item.
- Reload the configuration without restarting the server.
Target Filtering
Two filtering modes are available:
scoreboard_tag— detects players with the specified scoreboard tag. A player can have multiple tags at the same time.luckperms_group— detects members of the specified LuckPerms group, including inherited groups.
If LuckPerms is not installed or its API is unavailable, luckperms_group automatically checks for a scoreboard tag with the same name.
Use all to disable target filtering.
Cooldowns
Two cooldown modes are supported:
- A shared cooldown for each player and locator type.
- A separate cooldown for every physical locator item.
Active cooldowns are saved to a file and survive normal server restarts.
Commands
/locators give <player> <id> <amount>
