AutoLoader

AutoLoader loads other plugins from a folder at runtime, so you can start a Paper server with a single plugin installed and add the rest later, or let the server load everything listed in one config file. It reads each plugin's description (paper-plugin.yml or plugin.yml) before loading, which allows it to order plugins by their dependencies.

Commands

All commands use the permission-free /autoloader root.

  • /autoloader list shows the status of every configured plugin (loaded, not loaded, missing)
  • /autoloader load <file> loads a single jar from the plugin folder; the .jar extension is optional
  • /autoloader loadall loads all plugins from the configuration
  • /autoloader reload reloads the configuration file and makes sure the plugin folder exists

Configuration

The plugin folder defaults to plugins/AutoLoader/jars. Put the jar files you want to load there.

Limitations

  • Plugins loaded by AutoLoader are not unloaded when the configuration is reloaded. Restart the server to remove them.
  • Dependency sorting only covers the plugins that AutoLoader loads in the same run. Dependencies that are already present on the server are used as they are.
  • Plugins that depend on lifecycle events during server startup may not behave correctly when loaded later with AFTER_STARTUP or /autoloader load.
