Bottle of Entity is a mod to reintroduce the item back into the game as it genuinely did seem like a promising feature which would bring fun into your experiences.
What I added:
Bottle of Player: There are two usages of this bottle, the first is drinking the bottle normally. Upon drinking a Bottle of Player, you will instantly find yourself disgused as the other player for the duration of the potion, this would show up in tab, chat messages, death messages, and even join/leave messages.
Splash Bottle of Player: This bottle is pretty much the same, however it can have multiple targets and its more interactive with the player who you'd be disguisng as. Throwing this item at mobs instead of players will swap the player out with the mob you targetted, the mob will not teleport back after an effect duration as the bottle is instant when used on mobs.
Prismatic Lens: The Prismatic Lens is a new armor upgrade, specifically for the helmet. When worn, it will visually detect any disguised entities within your line of sight. You can access the configuration screen via the keybind "Y" (By deafult), Mod Menu, OR the title screen. Changes made in your display tab will be seen globally by other players! There is no crafting recipie for the lens and the only ways to acquire the lens is either via looting end cities or opening the creative menu.
To upgrade your armor, simply place a smithing table and insert the lens, your helmet, and an amythest shard. Your armor will then recieve the prismatic lens upgrade trim, however you can still apply trims to your armor while this upgrade is applied!
Brewing Recipies:
Bottles of Entity are obtained by brewing a Thick Potion, brewing an ender pearl with it to make a Bottle of Void. With the Bottle of Void you can simply use it on a mob to create a Bottle of Entity.
Bottles of Players are obtained by brewing a Bottle of Void with a player head.
Potion Tier Upgrades: Both the Bottle of Entity and Bottle of Player can be updated to tier 2 by brewing the potion with glowstone dust. To upgrade the potion to tier 3 you would need to brew the potion with a nether star.
Potion Tiers:
- Grants disguise with particles enabled (Visible to Prismatic Lens)
- Grants disguise with particles hidden (Visible to Prismatic Lens)
- Grants disguise with particles hidden and hides you from being detected by the Prismatic Lens.
