◼ Please read the disclaimer at the bottom before installing ◼
◼ About: This resource pack removes the new music introduced in the newest versions and brings back C418’s soundtrack by removing biome locked songs and implementing some of his unused music.
◼ Settings:
⚙️ Set your music frequency to "frequent" or “constant” in the audio settings for the best experience. (See “issues” at the bottom for more details)
⚠️ Please note that the music frequency option is only available on version 1.21.6 or newer.
◼ Added Tracks:
Overworld:
- Eleven C418 - Volume Beta - Track 25
- Équinoxe C418 - Volume Alpha - Track 10
- Excuse C418 - Volume Alpha - Track 17
- Flake C418 - Volume Beta - Track 05
- Intro C418 - Volume Beta - Track 30
- Ki C418 - Volume Beta - Track 01
- Kyoto C418 - Volume Beta - Track 14
Nether:
- Excuse C418 - Volume Alpha - Track 17
- Halloween 2 C418 - Halloween Mashup Pack (2015)
◼ Features:
-
All music can play in all biomes (with some exceptions)
-
Full support for the “now playing” music toast setting added in 1.21.6
-
The music already used in game is more likely to play than the added unused tracks
-
The Aquatic Update tracks Dragon Fish, Shuniji and Axolotl can only play in aquatic biomes. While standard Overworld tracks can also be triggered in these biomes, the aquatic tracks have a higher chance of playing.
-
Ancestry is the only new song not removed in this pack and can only play in the deep dark biome
◼ Issues:
- Even with my best efforts, Minecraft still forces the new songs to play periodically. To counteract this, all new tracks were replaced with a blank sound file which results in music sometimes playing less frequently in game when Minecraft decides to trigger one of the empty files. I’m fairly new to coding like this so If you know a fix for this please dm me on Discord and I'll see what I can do. I recommend setting your music frequency to “frequent” or “constant” in-game if this bothers you.
- Because Minecraft still triggers all new music, the music toasts (when the option is enabled) will still appear but are set to appear blank without the title or author to fix the immersion as much as possible. To my knowledge, there isn’t a way to fully remove these toasts for new music only.
◼ Note:
- This pack is not intended to discredit the music composed by Lena Raine, Aaron Cherof, Kumi Tanioka, Samuel Åberg, and Amos Roddy. I believe the addition of their music to the game fits Minecraft’s newer updates and style and does a good job of expanding the overall soundtrack and atmosphere. This project exists simply to allow players the option to experience C418’s music on its own, whether that be out of nostalgia, or simply preference.
⚠️ Disclaimer: This resource pack includes files containing music composed by Daniel Rosenfeld (C418) that are not included in the base game. All music remains the property of its copyright holder.
