Mojang Better Intro

Minecraft's startup screen has always felt a little plain.

Mojang Better Intro replaces it with a smoother animated Mojang intro inspired by the startup style of Minecraft Dungeons. It also brings the same animation to the resource-pack loading screen, so applying packs feels a bit nicer too.

The mod is completely client-side and doesn't change anything about gameplay.

What it changes 🎬

When Minecraft starts, instead of immediately jumping through the normal Mojang loading screen, you'll see a proper animated intro.

The animation can also appear when Minecraft reloads resources, such as when you enable or disable a resource pack.

There are both light and dark versions, and most parts of the intro can be changed through the settings.

The animation is allowed to finish properly instead of suddenly disappearing when Minecraft finishes loading.

During resource-pack loading, the finished animation can stay on its last frame until Minecraft is actually ready, which helps avoid awkward flashes or jumps between screens.

Configuration

If you have Mod Menu installed, you can change the settings directly from the mods menu.

You can customize things like:

• Dark mode
• Startup animation
• Resource-pack animation
• Animation size
• Fade timing
• Sound and volume
• Progress bar
• What happens when the animation finishes

Mod Menu is optional. Mojang Better Intro still works without it.

Mojang Better Intro is meant to stay simple. It doesn't redesign Minecraft's menus or replace the whole loading system — it just makes those few seconds when Minecraft starts or reloads resources look a little better.
