ChunkFreezer
Stop crash machines before they stop your server.
ChunkFreezer watches every chunk in real time and freezes the ones that go out of control: entity farms gone wrong, runaway redstone clocks, lag machines and deliberate crash contraptions. Once the chunk calms down, it is unfrozen automatically. No restarts, no rollbacks, no manual cleanup.
Your players keep playing while the problem stays contained in a single chunk.
Why ChunkFreezer?
Lag machines and crash exploits don't need many players or much time to bring a server down. Fixing them by hand means digging through chunks while TPS keeps falling. ChunkFreezer reacts the moment a limit is crossed and releases the chunk as soon as it is safe again.
- Protects against crash machines, entity overloads and redstone abuse
- Only the problem chunk is affected, the rest of the world is untouched
- Fully automatic: freeze, notify, recover
- Safe for accidental overloads too (big mob farms, careless builds)

Developer API
ChunkFreezer has a small API so your own plugins can react to frozen chunks. All methods are safe to call from any thread on Folia, with no need to hop to a specific region first.
Skip a farm payout while its chunk is frozen
ChunkFreezerAPI api = ChunkFreezerAPI.get();
if (api != null && api.isChunkFrozen(collector.getLocation())) {
return;
}
Warn a player who's about to walk into a frozen chunk
@EventHandler
public void onMove(PlayerMoveEvent e) {
ChunkFreezerAPI api = ChunkFreezerAPI.get();
if (api != null && api.isNearFrozenChunk(e.getTo(), 1)) {
e.getPlayer().sendActionBar(Component.text("A frozen chunk is nearby!"));
}
}
List every frozen chunk
ChunkFreezerAPI api = ChunkFreezerAPI.get();
if (api == null) return;
for (FrozenChunkManager.FrozenInfo info : api.getFrozenChunks()) {
World world = Bukkit.getWorld(info.worldId());
if (world == null) continue;
getLogger().info(world.getName() + " " + info.cx() + "," + info.cz() + " cause=" + info.cause());
}
