MedievalPlus
MedievalPlus is a plugin that adds new gameplay mechanics to Minecraft Vanilla. The most prominent feature is the addition of Forgeries. This allows players to change the stats or behaviour of their weapons. Additionally, this also includes some Quality of Life Items, as well as new Mob Variants using those Forgeries.
Forgeries
Forgeries are a new addition that allow players to further customize their weapons or bring out their potential. Players can obtain Forgery Templates through various means, which they then can use inside the smithing table to forge their weapons. Forgeries range from mixing up stats like attack damage and speed to adding subtle new mechanics.

If you ever feel lost, check out the ForgeryGuide via /mpguide! It displays all forgeries, their stats, behaviour changes and where to get them from.

All Forgeries
Sword Forgeries
These mix up the stats of swords. Go for a Greatsword if you want one shot potential with big slow hits or abuse a Dagger to stagger mobs with your fast attack speed.
Axe Forgeries
These turn your axe from a tool to a real weapon. Tools forged into weapons will lose 1 durability in combat but 2 for using them as tools, reversing the original process. Similarly to swords, axes feature slow heavy hits as well as fast paced forgeries.
Scythe Forgeries
These are kinda special as they do not only turn the hoe from tool to weapon, they also include a new mechanic. When hitting an entity while fully drawing the scythe it will create an arc-shaped swing that deals full damage across. Scythes come in 2 variants, the Large Scythe similar to an axe and the Chain Scythe having way higher attack speed with less damage per hit.

Pickaxe Forgeries
Forgeries for your pickaxe are a cut above the rest. The GreatHammer does slow heavy hits; however, it also allows for players to add breach onto it! Armored foes are not gonna like this one... - Furthermore, the Pick is unique in itself as while being a better weapon than a regular pickaxe, trades dps for additional mining efficiency, which is huge for mining trips before efficiency V!
Shield Forgeries
Why forge only weapons? All three Shield Forgeries are very distinct with each their own little gimmick. The Heavy Shield makes enemies or projectiles hitting the shield bounce back enormously. The Short Shield can be raised instantly but will let a portion of damage go through. Last but not least, the Spiked Shield will reflect a portion of damage back onto melee attackers!

Trident Forgeries
The trident has always been a niche weapon. The HarpoonForgery changes this a bit by giving the thrown trident enough damage to one shot regular mobs, while also being thrown at a higher speed and increasing loyalty further.
Default Forgery
If you ever feel like you do not want to use a forgery anymore you can use the Default Forgery to revert the item back to its original pre-forgery state. Nonetheless, you do not have to turn a weapon back to Default before applying a different forgery. You can always change the forgery using a different template.
Utility Additions
Additionally, some new Quality of Life items are introduced. Currently these feature the Hoof Plates for horses and the Silence Shrieker. If you want more detailed info you can also check them out in their own tab via /mpguide.

Hoof Plates
The newest addition for horses! You can equip hoof plates onto a tamed horse by interacting with them. These add additional speed and jump strength to your horse. Using the higher tiers you will achieve speeds never before seen on a horse!

Silence Shrieker
A unique block that allows to silence nearby mobs. By interacting with the shrieker it will send out waves towards all mobs in a 16 block radius turning them silent. Additionally, if any mob spawns in this 16 block sphere it will also automatically be silenced. Tired of turning off your hostile mob sounds inside your Enderman and Gold Farm? This might be the solution!

Events
Forgeries need to be obtained somehow and events are the first source for that! While exploring the overworld every 25 to 35 minutes one of 5 random events will occur. There are 2 distinct types: A MerchantEvent which spawns a trader offering forgeries or other new items, while a MobWaveEvent spawns a horde of mobs equipped with forgery gear and possible something else too!

All Events
Horse Merchant
This specific wandering trader spawns together with a tamed horse. Thematically fitting, they sell some horse related items and the new Hoof Plates!

Wandering Smith
The prime source of your forging adventure. This guy has a huge stock on lots of Forgeries, including some iron and diamond weapons as well as templates themselves. They are also the source for Default Forgery templates if you ever need one!

Evil Knight Raid
A group of sturdy knights armed with heavy shields. Their shields are raised, visible from the enchantment glint on them. The best way to fight them is to disable their shield via an axe allowing you to take them on head on.

Silence Rattler
This is quite the dangerous foe! Whenever it takes damage it will send out waves to nearby monsters, not only silencing them but also giving them a speed boost and changing their attack target to that of the Rattler! To top it all off, it has high armor points and toughness while being knockback resistant. Its movement speed is kinda lacking though...

Thief
A special form of Vindicators who are on a pillaging roam. Armed with daggers they will approach you with great speed. If you defeat them they will likely drop their loot bundles which are filled with multiple village chest loot tables!

Mob Evolutions
While Events bring in a unique experience now and then you will also find new mob variations around the world. Monsters have adapted to forgeries making also use of them. Most Evolutions appear by a spawn chance mechanic. An example is that by default 15% of all naturally spawned zombies are an Undead Knight. Additionally, there are also Structural Evolutions which only spawn around a specific structure like a shipwreck but with way higher spawn chances. Biome Evolutions are kinda similar as they only appear in a specific biome.
Mob Evolutions often do not take knockback!! Keep that in mind when approaching one.

Configurations
This plugin features a set of config files allowing you to change certain settings. This includes:
- toggling specific forgeries or items
- adjusting attributes of forgeries or items
- toggling events and mobs
- changing spawn chance of mobs
