V-Balls / Gotta Catch 'em all
Gotta Catch 'em all lets you capture almost any living mob using Cobblemon's Poké Balls. Catch almost any living mob, store it inside a Poké Ball, summon it whenever you want, and build your own team of companions.
✨ Features
- Catch almost anything – Capture vanilla mobs and creatures from other mods. Pokémon continue using Cobblemon's normal capture system.
- Balanced capture system – Catch chance depends on the target's remaining HP and the Poké Ball used. Master Balls always succeed.
- Boss protection – Powerful mobs such as the Ender Dragon, Wither, Warden, and other high-HP bosses must be weakened before they can be captured. Weak balls may break, while stronger balls bounce away instead of being wasted.
- Real Poké Ball throwing – Throw a Poké Ball to release a captured creature exactly where it lands, then recall it at any time.
- Companion AI – Released creatures follow you, defend you when attacked, and attack your targets using their existing combat AI.
- Quick party switching – Swap between up to six captured creatures using configurable keybinds.
- Fainting system – Defeated companions become fainted instead of disappearing forever. Heal them at a Cobblemon Healing Machine to use them again.
- Rename companions – Rename captured creatures with an anvil.
📦 Dependencies
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Forge 47.x
- Cobblemon 1.5.2+
- Kotlin for Forge 4.x
⚠️ Known Limitations
- No dedicated party GUI yet.
- Companions that wander too far won't automatically return.
- Currently tested only with Cobblemon 1.5.2 on Forge 1.20.1.
🚧 Next / Planned features
- Captured hostile mobs will not become hostile toward you. LoL.
- PokeBelt.
- Standalone mode (no Cobblemon dependency).
- Placeable voxelballs
