PreCraft Accelerator
PreCraft Accelerator, abbreviated as PCA, adds a prerequisite-crafting button to supported JEI recipe displays.
Instead of manually crafting every intermediate ingredient, PCA checks the materials you already have, determines which prerequisites are actually missing, and prepares them through normal crafting interactions.
Features
- Adds a dedicated prerequisite-crafting button to supported JEI recipe pages.
- Left-click prepares the prerequisites required for one crafting operation.
- Shift + Left-click prepares the maximum amount supported by the available materials.
- Uses existing ingredients and intermediate items before crafting new ones.
- Only recursively crafts quantities that are genuinely missing.
- Reserves materials that can directly satisfy the final recipe.
- Avoids unnecessary conversion of valid materials into other intermediate items.
- Supports recipes with multiple valid ingredient alternatives and item tags.
- Displays readable messages when required materials are unavailable.
- Prevents unsupported screens from showing a button or hidden click area.
Material-Efficient Planning
PCA is designed to reduce unnecessary material consumption.
Before recursively crafting anything, it:
- Reads the final recipe.
- Checks the player’s currently available materials.
- Reserves items that already satisfy the final recipe.
- Calculates the remaining ingredient shortages.
- Crafts only the missing prerequisites.
- Prefers valid crafting paths with lower material consumption and less excess output.
For example, when preparing a Smoker, valid logs or wood are preserved for the final recipe instead of being unnecessarily converted into planks.
Supported Crafting Environments
Support depends on the Minecraft version and loader build.
Currently supported environments may include:
- Player inventory 2×2 crafting grid.
- Vanilla crafting table.
- Supported crafting containers provided by compatible mods.
PCA uses separate handling logic for vanilla and supported modded containers. Unsupported containers remain untouched.
Client-Side Use
PCA is designed to operate through normal Minecraft and container interactions.
On supported configurations, it can be installed on the client without requiring the server to install PCA.
The server still validates the actual inventory and crafting operations.
Requirements
- A supported Minecraft mod loader.
- JEI for the corresponding Minecraft version.
- Loader-specific dependencies required by the selected PCA file.
Optional compatibility mods are not required for PCA’s base functionality unless explicitly stated on the individual version page.
Important Notes
- PCA prepares missing prerequisites; it does not replace the normal recipe result.
- A 2×2 crafting grid may prepare valid intermediate ingredients even when the final recipe requires a 3×3 crafting grid.
- PCA does not treat materials as available unless they can actually be accessed and used.
- Automatic machine processing and external autocrafting systems are not used unless a specific version explicitly supports them.
- Features and integrations may vary between Minecraft versions and mod loaders.
