Wahsso's Everlasting is a Vanilla Plus Enchanting mod.
Adds the Book of Everlasting — a craft-only enchanted book that makes any durable item completely unbreakable, at the cost of being the last enchantment that item will ever receive.
What it does The Book of Everlasting carries a custom Everlasting enchantment:
Never loses durability. The enchanted item takes zero durability damage, ever. Self-repairing. Picking up XP orbs repairs the item, the same way Mending does — a redundant safety net for an item that should never need repairing in the first place. The last enchantment. Everlasting can be combined onto an item that already has other enchantments, but once it's applied, no further enchantments can be added to that item at the anvil. It's meant to be a deliberate, final choice — not something you casually stack mid-progression.
Everlasting is incompatible with Mending and Unbreaking, in either order, because both are made redundant by Everlasting's own effects. You have to choose one path.
The Book of Everlasting is crafting-only — it cannot be found in loot, bought from villagers, or rolled at an enchanting table. The only way to obtain it is the recipe seen in the gallery, which contains 4 diamonds, a nether star, a dragon's breath, a heavy core, a conduit, and a book.
Combine it with any durable item at an anvil like a normal enchanted book — it's consumed on use and applies Everlasting directly.
Requirements Minecraft 26.2 Fabric Loader ≥0.19.3 Fabric API Java 25
Needs to be installed on both client and server for multiplayer (it adds a real enchantment, recipe, and anvil behavior, plus a custom item texture).
