What it does
- Enchanting tables search a 15-block radius in every direction, including above and below. This is a sphere measured between block positions, a shelf 15 blocks east counts one 15 east and 15 north does not.
- Regular bookshelves each provide one bookshelf's worth of enchanting power.
- Chiseled bookshelves each provide one bookshelf's worth of power only when all six slots contain books. Every book item the shelf normally accepts is supported.
- Walls, carpets, torches, and other intervening blocks do not block enchanting power. No air gap or prescribed shelf arrangement is needed.
- Vanilla enchanting letters travel from nearby qualifying shelves toward the table, using Minecraft's normal glyph animation. Full chiseled shelves emit letters too.
- Fifteen qualifying shelves still unlock the usual level-30 option. Enchantment rules, lapis costs, and experience costs remain vanilla.
- Works with existing enchanting tables as well as newly placed ones, in every dimension.
