Retromod

Run mods built for older Minecraft versions on current ones.

Most compatibility layers move a mod between loaders. Retromod moves a mod between game versions. A mod built for 1.20.1 can run on a current release without waiting for the author to port it.

How it works

Drop Retromod in, put the old mod in retromod-input and launch. Retromod rewrites the mod's bytecode, remaps its names, repairs its mixins, and patches its loader metadata, then moves it into mods

Works on Fabric, NeoForge, Quilt, and Forge.

Will my mod work?

Check the out the Probe (Beta) first.

Best results: content mods, quality-of-life mods, libraries, recipe viewers, and more.

Poor results: full list and the rules of thumb A mod that loads is not always a mod that fully works. Test it before you build a world on it.
