Expconomy turns the XP bar into your server's money. Players pay each other with /xpc pay, keep XP in a bank, and spend it in any shop that supports Vault.
Item economies fall apart on servers where players dupe items. Once diamonds are free, they stop being money. XP is much harder to dupe, so an XP economy keeps its value.
Features
- Pay other players with
/xpc pay <player> <amount>. Payments to offline players arrive when they join. - A personal bank. Banked XP doesn't drop on death.
- Vault support. Shops, jobs, auction houses and land claim plugins can charge and pay in XP.
- Death drops you control. Players drop a set percentage of their XP, 10% by default, and respawn with the rest.
keepInventorykeeps everything. - A leaderboard with
/xpc top. - PlaceholderAPI placeholders for scoreboards and tab lists.
- Messages you can edit, with
&color codes, hex colors and MiniMessage.
Built against dupes
Payments, withdrawals and bank deposits happen in one locked step, so parallel requests can't create XP. Payments sent from the death screen and crash-timed bank deposits are blocked. The plugin doesn't collect any data or send anything to outside servers.

Requirements
- Paper 1.21.4 or newer, or a Paper fork
- Java 21 or newer
- Vault (optional, needed for shops and other plugins)
- PlaceholderAPI (optional)
Expconomy doesn't run on Spigot or CraftBukkit, because it uses Paper's API.
About
Expconomy was inspired by XPConomy, which stopped working after Minecraft 1.20.4. It's a new plugin written from scratch, not a fork. It's open source under GPL-3.0.
