Retro PS1 Shader
Retro screen effects for vanilla Minecraft 26.3+. No Iris, no OptiFine, no mods. Just a resource pack and the new /posteffect command.
11 ready-made looks: old PS1 horror, clean PS1, CRT TV, VHS tape, N64, Game Boy and Silent Hill fog. Each one is a single command.
How to use
- Put the pack in your
resourcepacksfolder and enable it. - Turn an effect on:
/posteffect add @s rppe:ps1_horror - Turn it off:
/posteffect remove @s rppe:ps1_horroror remove everything:/posteffect clear @s

The HUD (hotbar, chat, inventory) stays clean. The effects only change the world view.
Tweaking
Every effect has its settings as numbers at the top of its file in assets/rppe/shaders/post/: pixel size, grain, vignette, colors, fog. Edit, save, press F3+T.
Requirements
- Minecraft Java 26.3 or newer
- Client side only. Nothing needed on the server

You can include this pack in modpacks and server resource packs.
