No wormholes. No Ultra Space. Ultra Beasts are already outside.
A side-mod for Pixelmon that deletes the Ultra Space dimension and moves everything it had into the overworld instead.
⭐ So what does it do? 🤔
Ultra Space is cool the first time. After that it's a laggy foggy world you have to battle horde after horde through just to catch a Buzzwole. This mod gets rid of it completely and puts the Ultra Beasts, the loot, the special blocks, all of it, straight into the overworld biomes they actually fit in.
No more wormholes spawning. No more summoning one with a Palkia. No more getting stuck in Ultra Space getting one million Beast Chest Poke Loot filling your inventory with OP items. You just play Pixelmon and run into an Ultra Beast out in the wild like it's any other Pokémon.
Singleplayer or server-side, it just works, and it needs zero setup.
👽 Ultra Beasts, relocated 🗺️
All 10 Ultra Beasts got moved to overworld biomes that actually match their vibe:
- Buzzwole & Poipole → jungles
- Pheromosa, Guzzlord & Stakataka → deserts
- Xurkitree → plains
- Celesteela → badlands
- Kartana & Blacephalon → forests
- Nihilego → dark forests and swamps, because that thing is creepy and deserves a creepy home. And it's digusting by the way.
They spawn even rarer in the overworld than they do in Ultra Space, and its FAR more rare than a normal wild Pokémon, so it feels the same; They were meant to be a rare find in Ultra Space, so finding one still feels like a moment. Naganadel's still evolution-only, that hasn't changed.
🎒 Loot didn't get left behind 📦
Ultra Space had its own forage and headbutt loot table, stuff like the dubious disc, bright powder, and all those ultra-themed crafting blocks. That loot got moved into the matching overworld biomes too, same rarity as before. Nothing in the loot pool just vanishes for no reason.
🪨 Geodes and Beast Chests 💎
Instead of losing the Ultra Space blocks entirely, this mod hijacks Pixelmon's crystal geode structure so overworld geodes can generate with ultra terrain blocks inside, depending on the biome family. Plains-type biomes get ultra space stone, oceans get ultra deep stone, deserts get ultra desert sand.
On top of that, Beast Ball chests now generate naturally around the overworld, just like Pixelmon's other loot chests, pulling from the same loot pool Ultra Space used to have.
⚔️ Overworld Hordes 🐗
Ultra Space had horde battles, so now the overworld does too. Get into a fight with an aggressive wild Pokémon and there's a small chance (2% by default) it calls in backup, up to 4 extra wild Pokémon join the fight and it turns into a horde battle right then and there. It's a fun surprise and it's rare enough that it doesn't get old.
🔧 Config, if you want it 🔨
Everything in this mod is a toggle or a number in the config. Don't like a feature? Turn it off. Want Ultra Beasts even rarer, or hordes more common? Change the number.
You can adjust:
1. Whether wormholes/Ultra Space access get blocked at all
2. Ultra Beast relocation and how much their rarity gets divided by
3. Loot relocation
4. Geode and Beast Chest generation rates
5. Horde chance and max extra Pokémon
6. Debug logging, if something seems off and you want to see what the mod's doing
Defaults are already tuned to feel like a natural part of the game, so you really don't have to touch any of it.
😐 So why did I make it? ❓
- Ultra Space is a chore. Cool concept, but going in and out of a whole separate dimension just to find one Pokémon or getting a bunch of loot items handed to you messes the game up for basically no reason.
- It's more fun running into an Ultra Beast in the wild. Instead of it being locked behind a wormhole most people never bother opening, now it's just out there in the world waiting to be found.
- Nothing gets lost. Every Pokémon, every loot item, every block Ultra Space had still exists, it's just not stuck behind its own dimension anymore.
- It fits right into normal Pixelmon. Nothing new to learn, no new systems to figure out. You just play and it's already part of the world.
🗃️ Versions, Compatibility and Other Nerd Stuff 🛢️
- Made for Minecraft: 1.21.1 on NeoForge. If you're running an older version of Pixelmon, this isn't ported for that, but the code's open source, feel free to port it yourself.
- Requires Pixelmon 9.3.16. That's the current version as I write this, so hopefully I remember to update this if that changes.
- Works fine in singleplayer and on servers, and plays nice with my other Pixelmon side-mods too.
This needs to be installed on the server (or singleplayer world) since it touches spawn data and worldgen. It doesn't need anything special on the client.

❤️ Thanks to the Pixelmon team 😁
None of this exists without Pixelmon. This mod is just rearranging furniture inside a game the Pixelmon team spent years building from the ground up. Huge thanks to everyone on the Pixelmon dev team for the work they've put in and for still supporting it after all this time. Go check out the base mod, it's the reason any of this is possible.
