Better Vanish
Better Vanish is an ultra-secure, lightweight invisibility plugin designed specifically for modern Minecraft servers. Built natively for PaperMC (1.20.6 - 1.21.x), it allows server administrators and moderators to seamlessly monitor their server without leaving a single trace.
Unlike basic vanish plugins, Better Vanish intercepts data at the server level. It ensures that vanished staff are completely scrubbed from server pings, multiplayer hover lists, and tab menus, making it physically impossible for players (or hacked clients) to know you are watching.
✨ Key Features
True Invisibility: Completely hides players from the in-game world, the Tab list, and the server selection screen (dynamically adjusts the live player count and scrubs names from the hover menu).
Phantom Interactions: Prevents accidental interference while vanished. Automatically blocks breaking/placing blocks, triggering pressure plates, picking up/dropping items, and dealing or taking damage.
Fake Announcements: Maintains the illusion by broadcasting customizable fake "Join" and "Leave" messages when you toggle your vanish state.
Admin Synergy: Staff members with the correct permissions can see other vanished admins, indicated by a sleek grayed-out name in the Tab list.
Modern & Optimized: Utilizes modern, async-safe PaperMC API methods for maximum server performance and zero deprecation warnings.
⚙️ Commands & Permissions
/vanish (Alias: /v) - Toggles your vanish state.
Permission: bettervanish.use
See other vanished staff:
Permission: bettervanish.see.other
📦 Installation & Requirements
Download the latest BetterVanish.jar file.
REQUIRED: Download the latest version of ProtocolLib (Needed for advanced packet interception).
Place both .jar files into your server's plugins/ folder.
Restart your server.
(Optional) Edit the config.yml to customize your fake join/leave messages!
🛠️ Compatibility
Better Vanish is designed specifically for modern servers. It requires PaperMC (or forks like Purpur) running version 1.20.6 or 1.21.x. Spigot is supported, but Paper is highly recommended for the advanced Server Ping spoofing features.
