⚡ Mjolnir — Resource Pack

A custom high-quality Mjolnir resource pack designed specifically for the Mjolnir Minecraft plugin.

Transform the vanilla Trident into the legendary hammer of Thor with custom 3D models, textures, throwing visuals, lightning effects, and separate appearances for Travel Mode and Fighting Mode.

⚠️ This resource pack is designed to work with the Mjolnir plugin. It is not a standalone replacement for the plugin's gameplay mechanics.

⚡ Features

🔨 Custom 3D Mjolnir

Replace the vanilla Trident appearance with a fully custom Mjolnir model.

The pack includes custom geometry and textures designed to make Mjolnir look like an actual legendary hammer rather than a modified Trident.

🌊 Travel Mode

Travel Mode provides a dedicated Mjolnir appearance for movement and transportation.

The resource pack automatically uses the Travel Mode model when the Mjolnir is configured for travel.

⚡ Fighting Mode

Fighting Mode provides a different Mjolnir appearance designed for combat.

It includes the dedicated Fighting Mode model and lightning-themed visual effects.

⚡ Lightning Throwing Effects

Mjolnir's throwing appearance includes a dedicated lightning overlay that can be displayed while using the hammer's combat throwing mechanics.

This gives the thrown weapon a more powerful and supernatural appearance instead of looking like a normal Minecraft Trident.

🔨 Custom Throwing Model

The resource pack contains a dedicated model for Mjolnir while it is being thrown.

The throwing model is separate from the normal held-item model so the hammer can have an appropriate projectile appearance and orientation.

🎨 Custom Textures

The pack includes custom textures created specifically for the Mjolnir model and its associated visual effects.

🎮 How It Works

Mjolnir uses Minecraft's Trident system as its underlying item while replacing the visual appearance through custom item models.

Throwing

The throwing system uses a dedicated Mjolnir projectile appearance so the thrown weapon can visually resemble the hammer rather than simply displaying the standard Trident model.

📦 Installation

1. Install the Mjolnir Plugin

Install the corresponding Mjolnir plugin on your Paper server.

2. Install the Resource Pack

Place the resource pack in your server's configured resource-pack location or distribute it to players through your preferred resource-pack system.

3. Make Sure Players Download the Pack

Players need to have the resource pack enabled to see the custom Mjolnir models and textures.

Players without the resource pack may see the underlying vanilla Trident appearance instead.

4. Restart / Reload

Restart the server after installing or updating the plugin and resource pack.

🎨 Resource Pack Compatibility

The pack uses modern Minecraft item-model functionality and is designed around the corresponding Minecraft/Paper version supported by the Mjolnir plugin.

For the best experience, always use the resource pack version that corresponds to your installed Mjolnir plugin version.

❗ Important

This resource pack does not add the Mjolnir gameplay mechanics.

It is a visual dependency for the Mjolnir plugin.

You need both:

Without the plugin, the resource pack alone will not create the custom Mjolnir abilities.

🐛 Known Limitations

  • Players without the resource pack will not see the custom Mjolnir models.
  • Resource-pack compatibility depends on the Minecraft version supported by the release.
  • The visual appearance of the thrown Mjolnir depends on the corresponding plugin projectile system.
  • Using an incompatible resource-pack version with a different plugin version may result in incorrect models or missing textures.

🔄 Updates

When updating Mjolnir, it is recommended to update the plugin and resource pack together.

Always check the release notes for version-specific changes.
