Changes
[1.3.0] - 2026-09-14
Added
- Compatibility presets. The mod now ships built-in presets for popular farming and agriculture mods. When one of these mods is present, its crops and gatherables are merged into your lists automatically — no manual config needed. Croptopia, Farmer's Delight, Mystical Agriculture, Pam's HarvestCraft 2 Crops, Pam's HarvestCraft 2 Trees, Thermal Cultivation. Presets are copied into
config/xpfromharvest/on first launch and become plain editable config files, so your edits survive updates. - Gather List. A new config list for blocks that are gathered from rather than harvested, with the states that carry a crop. Defaults cover sweet berry bushes, bee hives/nests, and cave vines (glow berries). XP is now awarded when you gather these, exactly like harvesting a crop.
Fixed
- Fortune now works on right-click harvesting (issue #13). Simple-harvest drops are computed with the player's held tool, so the Fortune enchantment (and Looting on 1.12.2) now applies.
- Replant seed is now correctly consumed. The seed used to replant is deducted from the drops (one seed, keeping any extras). On 1.12.2 the old code discarded the first
IPlantableitem in the drop list rather than the crop's own seed; it now matches the seed against the harvested crop's block. - XP is spawned as collectable orbs at the crop on simple harvest, matching block-breaking, instead of being credited straight to the player. Mending and other XP-collection mechanics now behave consistently.
- Crash guards on the harvest handlers (null player, spectator, and client-side guards), most notably for 1.12.2 where a null player on break or right-click could previously throw.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
