UnstableDeathBan

A simple deathban plugin for Paper servers. Every player who dies is permanently banned, and all online players hear the Wither spawn sound.

WARNING: This plugin bans players without exceptions, including OPs and admins. Only use it on servers where this is intended. Banned players can be unbanned with /pardon <player>.

What it does

• Permanently bans any player the moment they die (no exceptions, no bypass permission)
• Plays the Wither spawn sound to all online players, no matter where they are
• Keeps the normal vanilla death message in chat
• Lets you choose how many seconds after death the ban happens (0 = instant, so the respawn screen is skipped)
• Lets you choose the language of the ban message (German and English included, you can add your own)
• Lets you change the ban command, for example to use temporary bans from another plugin

Configuration

The config file is located at plugins/UnstableDeathBan/config.yml

• language: which entry under "messages" is used for the ban reason
• ban-delay-seconds: seconds between death and ban (decimals like 0.5 work)
• ban-command: command run from the console, %player% and %reason% are replaced automatically

Commands and permissions

• /unstabledeathban reload (alias /udb reload): reloads the config. Permission: unstabledeathban.reload (OP by default)

Notes

• The ban is executed through the server's own ban command, so it appears in the normal ban list.
• This plugin is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft, or any server network.
