Introduction
In Minecraft, the bedrock pattern is calculated based on the block coordinates in a world, no matter of the seed. Thus, people made programs that calculate exact position by just knowing the block pattern, that could possibly leak where a base is located on an SMP server.
Why was this made?
To prevent outrageous no-lifes nerds people from calculating everything and wanting to raid your base after you wanted to send an innocent screenshot or screen recording, put this resource pack at the top of the list.
How does this work?
This pack contains just 2 JSON files, that make the bedrock block model use the deepslate and deepslate_top texture instead of bedrock, so it is compatible with all other resource packs—as long as they do not change the deepslate block model to something else than a column.
This will be useful too
Just hiding the bedrock does not resolve the problem. You will also need something that prevents or randomizes block texture rotation that has been introduced in 1.8. People can calculate your base coordinates from that too. Check out the mod NoTextureRotations available for Fabric.
Do you want money or a donation?
No. All I can say, if you are using the pack—thank you.
