FrameGuard is a client-side performance mod made to reduce the stutters and FPS drops that can happen while Minecraft loads chunks as you move around.
Instead of pushing chunk loading as hard as possible, FrameGuard focuses on keeping the game smooth. It adjusts chunk-related work based on your current frame time, movement, and overall game load, so heavy work is less likely to hit all at once.
I mainly made it for those little freezes and FPS cuts that can happen while sprinting, exploring new terrain, or flying with an Elytra.
Features
- Helps reduce frame-time spikes while chunks are loading
- Adjusts chunk workload based on current performance
- Works with different FPS targets and refresh rates
- Better handling for higher render distances
- Movement-aware chunk handling
- Simple Mod Menu settings
- Built-in diagnostics
- Does not lower your graphics settings
- Does not force an FPS cap
- Client-side only
The goal is simple: make moving through the world feel smoother and reduce the lag spikes that happen when chunks are being loaded.
