⚡ Mjolnir

Mjolnir is a custom Thor-inspired weapon plugin for Paper 26.1.2.

Mjolnir is built on the vanilla Trident but adds custom gameplay, two switchable modes, configurable weather abilities, cosmetic lightning effects, and a dedicated resource pack.

🌊 Travel Mode

Travel Mode focuses on fast movement.

Enchantments

Riptide X
Unbreaking X
Mending I

Use Mjolnir normally with Riptide to travel quickly through the world.

⚡ Fighting Mode

Fighting Mode transforms Mjolnir into a combat weapon.

Enchantments

Channeling I
Impaling X
Loyalty X
Unbreaking X
Mending I

When Fighting Mode is activated, Mjolnir creates a cosmetic lightning activation effect and starts a configurable thunderstorm.

Channeling can then be used during the storm.

🔄 Switching Modes

Hold Mjolnir in your main hand.

Then:

Sneak + Right Click

Mjolnir switches between:

🌊 Travel Mode
        ↕
⚡ Fighting Mode

Mode switching has a configurable cooldown.

🌩 Thunderstorm

When Fighting Mode is activated, the plugin starts a thunderstorm in the player's current world.

Default:

storm-duration: 180

You can change it in:

plugins/Mjolnir/config.yml

For example:

storm-duration: 60

will create a 60-second storm.

✨ Cosmetic Effects

Fighting Mode can create:

  • ⚡ Electric Spark particles
  • ✨ End Rod particles
  • 🌩 Cosmetic lightning
  • 🔊 Thunder sounds
  • 🔱 Trident sounds

These effects can be controlled through the configuration.

🛡 Unbreakable

Mjolnir is permanently unbreakable.

Even though the weapon displays:

Unbreaking X
Mending I

the plugin also protects it from durability damage.

📦 Resource Pack

Mjolnir uses a dedicated resource pack for its custom appearance.

The plugin automatically sends the Mjolnir resource pack to players.

You do not need to put the Mjolnir resource pack in server.properties.

It is designed to coexist with the server's normal resource pack.

Give Mjolnir

/mjolnir give <player>

Example:

/mjolnir give Steve

Permission

mjolnir.admin

Only administrators/players with the permission can use the command.

🖥️ Installation

  1. Install Paper 26.1.2.
  2. Make sure the server is running Java 25.
  3. Download the Mjolnir plugin.
  4. Put the JAR in:
plugins/
  1. Start the server.
  2. Configure the resource-pack settings if necessary.
  3. Restart the server.
  4. Give yourself Mjolnir:
/mjolnir give YourName

🧪 Quick Test

After installation:

/mjolnir give <player>

Hold Mjolnir.

Test:

Sneak + Right Click

Verify:

🌊 Travel Mode
        ↓
⚡ Fighting Mode

Then test:

  • Riptide
  • Channeling
  • Loyalty
  • Impaling
  • Thunderstorm
  • Cooldown
  • Resource-pack appearance
