Give yourself the head of any Bedrock player, showing their real skin, with one command.
Vanilla /give only knows Java accounts, so heads of Geyser players show up as Steve or Alex. BedrockHeads looks up the Bedrock player's converted skin and gives you a head that looks right for everyone, Java and Bedrock alike.
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/bedrockhead <gamertag> |
Gives you the head of that Bedrock player |
/bedrockhead give <targets> <gamertag> |
Gives the head to other players (supports selectors like @a); works from the console and command blocks |
- Gamertags with spaces work without quotes:
/bedrockhead Cool Gamer 123 - With Floodgate installed, tab-completion suggests the Bedrock players who are online, and the prefixed name (
.Steve) works too.
Permissions
| Permission | Default | Allows |
|---|---|---|
bedrockheads.command |
op | /bedrockhead <gamertag> |
bedrockheads.command.others |
op | /bedrockhead give … (also needs bedrockheads.command) |
How it works
- Player is on your server: the skin comes straight from Floodgate, instantly.
- Anyone else: the skin is fetched from the GeyserMC Global API, which stores Bedrock skins converted for Java. Results are cached for 5 minutes.
A Bedrock player's skin is only in the Global API once they've joined a Geyser server at least once. A fresh skin can take a few minutes to appear.
Requirements
- Paper 1.21.4 or newer (tested on 26.2). Paper forks such as Purpur should work too. Spigot is not supported.
- Floodgate is optional, but recommended if your server runs Geyser.
- No config file is needed. Drop the jar in and go.
Java players?
You don't need this plugin for them. Vanilla does it: /give @s minecraft:player_head[minecraft:profile="jeb_"]
Privacy
The only network requests go to api.geysermc.org, and they contain only the gamertag being looked up.
