Smart Keep Inventory
This mod provides flexible control over whether the player loses their inventory upon death, depending on what exactly killed them.
By default, the player's inventory is almost always retained, but it is lost if they are killed by another player (PvP), crushed by a falling driplite/stalactite, or suffocated by blocks. Everything elseโfalling into lava, drowning, regular mobs, the void, etc.โretains the player's inventory.
Features
- ๐ก PvP โ direct and indirect kills are configured separately (for example, if you were set on fire in battle and the player died from the fire a few seconds later, this also counts as PvP; the time window is configurable)
- ๐ชจ Sharpened Driplite / Stalactite
- ๐งฑ Suffocation in Blocks
- ๐ Falling into the Void
- ๐ฅ Fire and Lava
- ๐ Drowning
- ๐ Falling from a Height
- ๐ Hunger
- ๐ฅ Explosions
- ๐ง Regular Mobs
- โ Any other causes of death
Each option can be enabled or disabled individually, according to your server's rules.
Settings
Opened directly in-game via the Mod Menu (requires the Cloth Config API) โ a screen with switches; changes are applied instantly, without restarting the server. The mod also works without the Mod Menu/Cloth Config โ just manually edit the settings in config/keepstuffmod.json.
