Followed by TNT is a Minecraft datapack that creates a huge amount of chaos (with no redstone) by turning normal TNT into an ever-increasing chain reaction of explosions. This datapack is designed for users who want to create a controlled amount of mayhem, and is triggered by players giving themselves the ability to trigger a delayed TNT explosion where they currently are on the map using a custom command option.
The process works exactly like this: When a player triggers the command, it records the player's exact position in the world, waits a short amount of time, and then spawns a TNT entity at the previously recorded location. With the Followed By TNT datapack, when players are within a certain radius of that location, the TNT the players received from this command will be tracked by a custom system that will monitor its fuse time, and will spawn an identical TNT entity next to it (the new TNT will inherit the same properties as the previous TNT). It creates the effect that explosions are always following players as they continue to move through the world.
The Followed By TNT datapack has a global limit on how many tagged TNT can be in the world at any time to allow for consistent performance. All mechanics within this datapack run on Minecraft's built-in function and scoreboard systems, so no command blocks, redstone, or mods are needed to run this datapack. The Followed By TNT datapack is set to always, run in multiplayer.
You can use the Followed By TNT datapack for challenge maps, chaotic events, or just to mess around with advanced command mechanics. You choose when and where the destruction starts.
