Dirt2Path

Dirt2Path is a lightweight datapack for Minecraft which gradually wears down terrain as players walk across it. Simply enable the datapack when creating a new world and start playing.

Not sure if you installed the datapack correctly? Walk across a grass block and stand on it for a few seconds. The block should gradually progress through several stages, eventually becoming a path block.

Not sure how the datapack works? Don't worry, there's nothing to configure. Whenever a player stands on a supported block, it will slowly wear down over time. Each stage requires the player to remain on the block, making paths form naturally as areas receive more foot traffic.

What blocks are supported? Dirt2Path currently transforms blocks in the following order:

Grass Block → Moss Block → Rooted Dirt → Dirt → Coarse Dirt → Dirt Path

Progress is preserved while a block is being worn down, meaning players can return later and continue where they left off.
