Brewhouse adds real beer brewing to Paper servers. Build a barrel in your cellar, ferment a recipe for real-time minutes, and pour mugs for your friends — but watch your intake: one mug too many can be your last.
Features
- Multiblock beer barrel — build a 2×2×2 cube of barrels, right-click it with a brewing stand, a hopper, a cauldron and two iron ingots, and it turns into a large custom-model barrel with a tap facing you.
- Brewing GUI — pour water buckets, add ingredients, watch the water level bar and start the fermentation.
- Cellar required — fermentation will not start under the open sky. Cover the barrel so no sky light reaches it; torches and glowstone don't matter, only the roof does. Real cellars, finally.
- Slow, honest fermentation — brews take 15–30 minutes. Quality rises to a plateau and drops if you wait too long; extra ingredients beyond the recipe raise the quality (up to ×2).
- Quality tiers — the better the brew, the stronger its effects.
- Four recipes by strength — Light Lager ★, Dark Porter ★★, Strong Ale ★★★, Black Stout ★★★★. Recipes auto-match by ingredients and are fully configurable — add your own drinks.
- Intoxication — every mug raises your level. Low levels give useful buffs (speed, haste, regeneration); high ones blur your vision and slow you down. From the 5th mug, every drink risks alcohol poisoning: wither, poison, and a special death message if it kills you.
- Custom models — the barrel and mugs are modeled in Blockbench. The plugin hosts and pushes the resource pack itself; no server.properties editing, no client mods.
- Achievements — from setting up your first barrel to drinking yourself to death.
How to brew
- Build a 2×2×2 cube out of barrels (8 total).
- Right-click the cube while holding: brewing stand ×1, hopper ×1, cauldron ×1, iron ingot ×2.
- Pour water buckets (4–5 per recipe), then add ingredients — right-click with the item.
- Right-click with an empty hand to open the GUI and start the brew.
- Wait in your cellar. When it's done, right-click with an empty mug to pour.
- To dismantle, sneak + left-click the barrel — everything drops back.
Commands
/brewhouse <give|reload|info|scan> — admin commands (permission brewhouse.admin); aliases /brew and /beer. Interacting with barrels is available to everyone by default (brewhouse.use).
/brewhouse give <empty|beer> [quality] [recipe] [player]— hand out mugs/brewhouse reload— reload the config/brewhouse info— info about the nearest barrel/brewhouse scan [radius]— find nearby barrel cubes
