LegionX Farm Mechanics

LegionX Enhanced Farming Mechanics (LEFM) adds realistic survival farming to your Paper server. Designed for HappyMC — built by OrbitOmen.

🌵 Cactus

• Grows freely in any condition — dark, indoors, underground
• Stops growing past 3 blocks tall without clear sky above (the "flower" stage)
• Glass roofs count as open sky — greenhouse builds still work

🌾 Crops

• Wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot, melon and pumpkin stems need light level 9+ to grow
• Growth slows 50% at night without artificial light
• Crops left dark AND dry for 10+ minutes lose a growth stage (wilt)
• Fully wilted crops only drop seeds

💧 Water & Hydration

• Farmland must stay within 4 blocks of water or it dries out
• Rain keeps farmland moist automatically
• Wilting only triggers when a crop is BOTH dark AND dry at the same time

🌍 Biome Modifiers

• Cold biomes (Snowy Plains, Ice Spikes, Frozen Peaks): 30% slower growth
• Desert and Badlands: farmland dries twice as fast
• Plains and Lush Caves: 10% growth speed bonus

🪴 Greenhouse System

• Enclose a farm in glass walls and ceiling to ignore all biome penalties
• Interior still needs a light source at night

🦴 Bonemeal Restrictions

• Bonemeal fails on dark or dry crops
• 50% fail chance in cold biomes
• Players get a clear message explaining why it failed

🎋 Sugar Cane & Bamboo

• Sugar cane indoors needs light level 11+ to grow past 2 blocks
• Bamboo in enclosed spaces is height-capped

⚙️ Admin Tools /lefm reload — reload config live /lefm check — inspect any block for light, sky access, moisture and biome /lefm exempt <player> — bypass all checks for a player /lefm toggle <feature> — enable/disable any feature at runtime

Every single feature is individually toggleable in config.yml. Compatible with Paper 1.21.1+
