This texture pack adds some new textures—alongside the Super Mario Mash-Up style—to the Killer Bunny ,Jellie the cat and all Operator Items like light blocks or barrier block transforming them into the Super Mario character Nabbit and a calico cat from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury, respectively while the light blocks (inspired by Amp), the four elemental paintings (mostly based on Mario 64 paintings, with one based on Super Mario Galaxy), the Test Block (featuring various "retro" textures from the original NES Super Mario game), and the Barrier and Structure blocks, which are based on various "Boo Blocks" from the series (specifically Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario World).
This idea of Nabbit as the killer rabbit texture was intended to replace the Killer Bunny—but couldn't be included in the original pack because it doesn't exist in Bedrock—has now been brought to life; I created its texture using the new rabbit model, so you can enjoy it and its baby variant!
As for the calico cat, it replaces the "Jellie" cat texture, which was not changed at all in the original Super Mario Mash-Up pack so i just wanted to make this Mash-Up even more completed, also this cat has a baby form!
Regarding the entire category of Operator Items, many of them didn't have new textures in the original—either because they were things like paintings (which aren't in Bedrock) or simply because it seems a unique texture wasn't deemed necessary. So, I took it upon myself to create them—purely for the love of the craft and for the sake of completeness!
Recommendation: For the ultimate experience, i highly recommend using this texture alongside the official Super Mario Mash-Up to make this textures fit seamlessly into your world. Original Textures & Inspiration: Full credits to 4J Studios for their incredible work on the original Super Mario Mash-Up Pack textures and chillyroll for porting the original package to the Java version.
Note: It is likely that Jellie's cat texture wasn't changed in the original Mash-Up because it is based on Jellie—a cat belonging to the YouTuber GoodTimesWithScar, who passed away a few years ago. Although the cat was already in the game prior to that, I want to clarify that I have nothing against this inclusion; in fact, I love it and find it truly charming. (I also want to mention that this calico cat feels very familiar to me, as my grandparents once had a cat of the same breed—"I hope you're doing well up there, Mimi.") With that said, enjoy!
